Day 1 – Foundations and BIA

Introduction to the BCM lifecycle and ISO 22301 requirements.
Establishing governance, policy, and scope for the BCM program.
Understanding the difference between RTO (Recovery Time Objective) and RPO (Recovery Point Objective).
Conducting a Business Impact Analysis: Step-by-step guidance.
Mapping interdependencies and critical resource requirements.
Hands-on: BIA Worksheet completion for a sample department case study.

Day 2 – Risk Assessment and Strategy

Threat analysis: Identifying internal and external vulnerabilities.
Risk quantification techniques and impact likelihood scoring.
Developing recovery strategies: People, process, and technology.
Selecting cost-effective mitigation options and insurance considerations.
Designing the Business Continuity Plan (BCP) documentation structure.
Hands-on: Drafting a department-level recovery procedure template.

Day 3 – Execution, Testing, and Maintenance

Crisis communication frameworks and stakeholder engagement.
Designing testing and exercising programs: From tabletop to simulation.
Implementing continuous improvement and performance monitoring.
Establishing audit and review cycles for plan sustainability.
Action planning: Developing a roadmap for BCM implementation.
Hands-on: Q&A session and collaborative Tabletop Exercise simulation.

Assessment Methodology

All courses conducted by EdTech will begin with a Pre-evaluation and end with a Post-evaluation.
