Course Agenda

Day 1 – Foundations of Prompt Engineering

  • Introduction to large language models and prompt mechanics​
  • Anatomy of an effective prompt: instructions, context, input, and output indicators
  • Understanding token limits, temperature, and model parameters
  • Establishing clear persona and role definitions in prompts
  • Hands-on: Draft and test basic operational prompts for summarizing meeting notes and drafting standard business emails.

Day 2 – Advanced Techniques and Structuring

  • Implementing few-shot prompting to guide model output format and tone​
  • Using chain-of-thought prompting for complex problem-solving and analysis
  • Handling constraints, edge cases, and formatting requirements
  • Building reusable prompt templates for team use
  • Hands-on: Build a multi-step chain-of-thought prompt sequence to analyze a set of customer feedback data and categorize pain points.

Day 3 – Workflow Integration and Scaling

  • Automating repetitive business tasks using structured prompt libraries
  • Evaluating and auditing AI-generated outputs for accuracy and bias
  • Establishing team guidelines and governance for prompt usage
  • Course wrap-up, Q&A, and personal action planning for ongoing practice
  • Hands-on: Create a department-specific prompt playbook and present a simulated workflow automation plan to the group.

Assessment Methodology

All courses conducted by EdTech will begin with a Pre-evaluation and end with a Post-evaluation.
