This advanced training program is designed to elevate the skills of maintenance planners, supervisors, and engineers by focusing on strategic maintenance planning, scheduling, and optimization in asset-intensive industries. The course covers advanced techniques in preventive and predictive maintenance, work order management, reliability-centered maintenance (RCM), and the application of CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems). Day 2

Work Order Management and CMMS Optimization

  • Work request to close-out cycle
  • Planning work packages: labor, materials, tools, permits
  • CMMS best practices and workflow configuration
  • Backlog management and reporting
  • Data quality and master data management

Day 3

Advanced Scheduling Techniques

  • Short-term, medium-term, and long-term scheduling
  • Gantt chart and look-ahead schedules
  • Resource leveling and constraint management
  • Coordination with operations and other departments
  • Scheduling tools and software applications

Day 4

Shutdown, Turnaround & Outage (STO) Planning

  • STO lifecycle phases: scope, plan, execute, review
  • Critical path method (CPM) and project controls
  • Contractor management and safety coordination
  • Materials, logistics, and contingency planning
  • Post-shutdown reviews and lessons learned

Day 5

Performance Optimization and Continuous Improvement

  • Maintenance performance KPIs and benchmarking
  • Maintenance cost control and budgeting
  • Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for repeated failures
  • Continuous improvement culture in maintenance
  • Aligning planning with organizational goals

Assessment Methodology
