Course Description

This 5-day intensive training program is designed to equip facility technicians, HVAC engineers, and maintenance personnel with the knowledge and skills required to ensure reliable operation, efficient maintenance, and effective troubleshooting of HVAC systems. The course covers all major components and subsystems of commercial and industrial HVAC installations, including air handling units, chillers, cooling towers, compressors, ductwork, and control systems.

Emphasis is placed on preventive and predictive maintenance practices, energy efficiency, safety standards, and diagnosing system faults using a logical, hands-on approach. By the end of the course, participants will be able to maintain, inspect, and troubleshoot HVAC systems to reduce downtime and energy consumption while improving indoor comfort and safety.

Course Objectives

Upon the successful completion of this course, each participant will be able to:

  • Understand the fundamentals and components of HVAC systems and how they function
  • Apply effective preventive maintenance practices for HVAC components
  • Perform routine inspections and tune-ups to optimize system performance
  • Identify and troubleshoot common HVAC faults using logical diagnostic approaches
  • Enhance system reliability and energy efficiency through maintenance best practices
  • Interpret HVAC schematics and control diagrams for service and repair
  • Maintain compliance with applicable health, safety, and environmental regulations

Who Should Attend?

This course is designed for HVAC Technicians and Engineers, Facility and Building Maintenance Staff, Mechanical Engineers and Supervisors, Operations and Utility Technicians, Energy Managers and Building Supervisors & Maintenance Contractors and Service Providers.
