Course Description

This 5-day course provides participants with a comprehensive understanding of Oracle Primavera P6, a powerful project management software used for planning, scheduling, and controlling large-scale projects. The course is structured to teach practical skills in project creation, resource management, baseline setting, progress updating, and reporting. Participants will engage with real-life project scenarios to reinforce the learning experience. By the end of the course, learners will be able to confidently manage the project lifecycle using Primavera P6 Professional.

  • Grouping, sorting, and filtering activities

Day 3

Resource and Cost Management

  • Creating and assigning labor and non-labor resources
  • Defining roles and resource availability
  • Assigning costs and cost accounts
  • Analyzing resource usage and histograms
  • Leveling resources
  • Managing resource overloads

Day 4

Project Tracking and Baselines

  • Creating and assigning baselines
  • Updating progress (actuals vs. planned)
  • Updating activity status, dates, and remaining durations
  • Performance measurement using Earned Value Management (EVM)
  • Managing variances and project deviations

Day 5

Reporting, Risks, and Best Practices

  • Creating and customizing reports
  • Exporting data and sharing schedules
  • Using Gantt charts and tabular views
  • Managing project risks in P6
  • Tips, tricks, and Primavera best practices

Assessment Methodology
