Course Description

This 5-day training program provides a comprehensive overview of essential mechanical equipment used across industrial sectors, including pumps, compressors, turbines, heat exchangers, and gear systems. Participants will gain a strong foundation in the operational principles, performance parameters, typical failure modes, and maintenance requirements of these systems. The course emphasizes understanding design considerations, reliability practices, and compliance with international standards, supporting safe and efficient operation.

Course Objectives

Upon the successful completion of this course, each participant will be able to:

  • Understand the fundamental operating principles of major mechanical equipment types
  • Identify key components and system configurations of mechanical equipment
  • Describe common causes of failure and degradation mechanisms
  • Interpret performance parameters and design considerations
  • Understand the theoretical basis for troubleshooting and maintaining equipment
  • Recognize relevant standards and safety considerations related to mechanical systems
  • Apply knowledge to support reliability, performance, and lifecycle planning
