Course Description

This 5-day training course is designed to provide a thorough understanding of rigging and slinging operations used in lifting and hoisting applications across construction, industrial, and offshore environments. The program focuses on the safe and efficient planning, selection, and inspection of rigging gear, slings, and lifting accessories. It covers critical concepts including load calculations, rigging configurations, center of gravity, and compliance with regulatory standards. The course aims to enhance safety awareness and technical knowledge.

Course Objectives

Upon the successful completion of this course, each participant will be able to:

  • Understand the fundamental principles of safe rigging and slinging operations
  • Identify different types of slings, rigging hardware, and lifting accessories
  • Interpret load charts, sling angles, and lifting plans
  • Recognize risks, hazards, and failure modes in rigging applications
  • Apply theoretical knowledge to select appropriate rigging configurations
  • Understand inspection criteria and maintenance requirements for rigging gear
  • Comprehend regulatory and industry standards governing lifting operations

Who Should Attend?

This course is designed for personnel involved in planning, supervising, or supporting lifting operations.
