Course Description

This specialized 5-day training program provides participants with in-depth knowledge of welding principles, processes, materials, codes, and qualification procedures, focusing on the technical and regulatory requirements for developing and certifying welding procedures, personnel, and projects in accordance with international standards.

Course Objectives

Upon the successful completion of this course, each participant will be able to:

  • Understand the fundamentals of welding processes and their industrial applications
  • Analyze the metallurgical principles that influence weld quality and performance
  • Review and interpret welding symbols, drawings, and technical specifications
  • Identify and apply relevant welding codes and standards (e.g., AWS, ASME, ISO, API)
  • Develop and assess Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) and Procedure Qualification Records (PQR)
  • Understand the welder qualification process, testing requirements, and certification protocols
  • Recognize welding defects and understand their implications on mechanical integrity and compliance

Who Should Attend?

This course is designed for Engineers, welding supervisors, inspectors, quality assurance personnel, and technical staff responsible for welding design, qualification, and compliance in industries such as oil & gas, construction, manufacturing, and power generation.
