Course Description

This 5-day advanced course equips cybersecurity professionals with practical knowledge and hands-on skills in incident response, threat hunting, and digital forensics. Participants will learn how to detect, analyze, and respond to cyber threats, investigate security incidents, and collect and preserve digital evidence. The course emphasizes real-world scenarios, best practices, and tools to strengthen organizational security posture and reduce cyber risk.

Day 2 – Threat Hunting Techniques & Tools

  • Endpoint and network data analysis
  • Hands-on exercise: Hunting threats using SIEM/log analysis tools
Day 3 – Digital Forensics Fundamentals & Evidence Collection

  • Digital forensics process: collection, preservation, and chain of custody
  • Disk imaging, memory analysis, and forensic toolkits
  • Analyzing logs, emails, and artifacts
  • Hands-on exercise: Investigating a compromised workstation
Day 4 – Malware Analysis & Advanced Forensics

  • Static and dynamic malware analysis techniques
  • File system, registry, and memory forensics
  • Network forensics and packet analysis
  • Hands-on exercise: Investigating malware attack on a sample network
Day 5 – Reporting, Remediation & Simulation Exercise

  • Creating detailed incident and forensic reports
  • Remediation strategies and lessons learned
  • Q&A, wrap-up, and best practices for continuous improvement

Assessment Methodology

All courses conducted by EdTech will begin with a Pre-evaluation and end with a Post-evaluation.
