Course Description

This 5-day intensive course provides healthcare professionals with the knowledge and practical skills needed to respond effectively to cardiac emergencies. Participants will learn advanced resuscitation techniques, rhythm recognition, airway management, pharmacology, and team-based approaches in life-threatening cardiovascular events. The program combines lectures, interactive discussions, and hands-on simulations to prepare participants for real-world ACLS scenarios.

Course Objectives

Upon the successful completion of this course, each participant will be able to:

  • Understand the principles and benefits of 5S and Visual Management.
  • Recognize and respond to cardiac arrest, arrhythmias, and other cardiovascular emergencies.
  • Apply ACLS algorithms for adults and special populations.
  • Perform effective CPR, airway management, and defibrillation.
  • Administer appropriate pharmacologic interventions during resuscitation.
  • Lead or participate in high-performance resuscitation teams and post-resuscitation care.

Welcome & Introduction

Pre-Test

Day 1 – ACLS Overview & Basic Life Support Refresher

  • Introduction to ACLS principles and guidelines
  • Review of adult Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • High-quality CPR techniques and team dynamics
  • Hands-on exercise: CPR and BLS skills practice

Day 2 – Cardiac Rhythms & Electrical Therapy

  • Recognizing ECG rhythms: shockable vs non-shockable
  • Defibrillation, synchronized cardioversion, and pacing
  • Hands-on exercise: Rhythm recognition drills and defibrillator practice

Day 3 – ACLS Algorithms & Pharmacology

  • ACLS algorithms for cardiac arrest, bradycardia, tachycardia, and ACS
  • Pharmacology in resuscitation: indications, dosages, and administration
  • Hands-on exercise: Case-based simulation of ACLS scenarios

Day 4 – Airway Management & Team Dynamics

  • Advanced airway techniques: bag-mask ventilation, intubation, and adjuncts
  • Team leadership and communication during resuscitation
  • Hands-on exercise: Simulated resuscitation with full team roles

Day 5 – Simulations, Debriefing & Certification Prep

  • Comprehensive scenario-based ACLS simulations
  • Post-resuscitation care and patient stabilization
  • Debriefing and performance feedback
  • Written and practical assessment for ACLS certification
  • Wrap-up and best practices

Assessment Methodology

All courses conducted by EdTech will begin with a Pre-evaluation and end with a Post-evaluation.
