  • Linking strategy to measurable objectives
  • Identifying critical success factors for strategy execution
  • Common pitfalls in translating strategy into action
  • Practical Exercise: Assess an organization’s strategy and identify execution gaps

Day 2: Strategy Mapping and Objective Alignment

  • Defining organizational vision, mission, and strategic objectives
  • Creating strategy maps to link objectives across BSC perspectives
  • Establishing cause-and-effect relationships between strategic goals
  • Aligning departmental and team objectives with corporate strategy
  • Prioritizing strategic initiatives to achieve organizational impact
  • Embedding strategic goals into operational planning
  • Workshop: Develop a strategy map for a real or simulated organization

Day 3: Key Performance Indicators and Measurement Systems

  • Designing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for strategic objectives
  • Linking KPIs to BSC perspectives and strategy maps
  • Establishing performance targets and benchmarks
  • Leading vs lagging indicators in performance measurement
  • Monitoring performance through dashboards and reporting tools
  • Using KPIs to identify gaps and corrective actions
  • Practical Exercise: Develop KPIs and performance metrics for selected objectives

Day 4: Implementing BSC for Strategy Execution

  • Cascading Balanced Scorecard to teams and departments
  • Integrating BSC into performance management and incentive systems
  • Monitoring progress and managing deviations from targets
  • Using dashboards for decision-making and strategic reporting
  • Linking BSC to business processes, project management, and operational plans
  • Continuous improvement and performance review cycles
  • Workshop: Simulate BSC implementation and performance tracking

Day 5: Driving Performance Excellence and Action Planning

  • Using BSC insights for strategic decision-making
  • Driving organizational accountability and culture of performance
  • Best practices for communicating performance results to stakeholders
  • Integrating BSC with other frameworks (Lean, Six Sigma, ISO)
  • Reviewing case studies of successful BSC implementation
  • Developing action plans for strategy execution in participant organizations
  • Course review and final presentation of strategy-to-action plan

Assessment Methodology
