The Business Process Improvement (BPI) & Process Mapping training equips participants with practical tools and methodologies to analyze, improve, and optimize business processes for efficiency, quality, and customer satisfaction. The program covers process mapping techniques, identification of bottlenecks, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement frameworks such as Lean, Six Sigma, and PDCA. Participants will learn how to visualize processes, eliminate waste, enhance performance, and implement measurable improvements.

Day 2: Process Mapping Fundamentals

  • Understanding process mapping and its benefits
  • Process mapping symbols and notations (BPMN, flowcharts, swimlanes)
  • Levels of process mapping: high-level vs detailed
  • Mapping inputs, outputs, activities, and decision points
  • Identifying value-added vs non-value-added activities
  • Documentation best practices for process maps
  • Linking process maps to business objectives

Day 3: Analyzing Processes & Identifying Improvement Opportunities

  • Process analysis techniques
  • Identifying bottlenecks, redundancies, and waste (Lean principles)
  • Root cause analysis tools:

          5 Whys

          Fishbone (Ishikawa) diagram

          Pareto analysis

  • Measuring process performance using KPIs
  • Process capability and benchmarking
  • Risk and impact assessment in processes

Day 4: Process Improvement Methodologies & Implementation

  • Lean process improvement techniques
  • Six Sigma DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control)
  • Continuous improvement culture and PDCA cycles
  • Designing improved process workflows
  • Standardization and documentation of new processes
  • Change management principles in process improvement
  • Monitoring and controlling process changes

Day 5: Process Performance Monitoring & Continuous Improvement

  • Developing process monitoring and reporting systems
  • Setting performance targets and measuring results
  • Conducting process audits and reviews
  • Corrective actions and preventive measures
  • Creating a process improvement roadmap
  • Integrating process improvement into organizational strategy
  • Case studies of successful process improvement projects
  • Final review and participant presentations

Assessment Methodology
