Course Description

The Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) training program is designed to build strong foundational knowledge and hands-on skills in modern networking. This course covers essential networking concepts including IP addressing, routing and switching, VLANs, wireless networking, network security fundamentals, automation, and troubleshooting aligned with the latest CCNA (200-301) certification requirements. Participants will gain practical exposure to real-world network configurations using Cisco-style environments and best practices.

Course Objectives

Upon the successful completion of this course, each participant will be able to:

  • Understand core networking concepts, models, and protocols (OSI/TCP-IP)
  • Configure and troubleshoot IPv4 and IPv6 addressing and subnetting

  • Basic Cisco CLI navigation and device access methods

Day 2: Switching Technologies & VLAN Implementation

  • Cisco switching fundamentals

  • VLAN concepts and segmentation
  • VLAN configuration and verification
  • Trunking (802.1Q) and native VLANs
  • Inter-VLAN routing concepts
  • Spanning Tree Protocol (STP) fundamentals

Day 3: Routing Fundamentals & OSPF

  • Routing fundamentals and route selection process

  • Introduction to dynamic routing protocols
  • OSPF fundamentals (single area OSPF)
  • OSPF neighbor relationships and LSAs overview
  • Routing table analysis

Day 4: WAN, NAT, Wireless & Network Security Basics

  • DHCP operation and configuration
  • DNS concepts for networking
  • Wireless fundamentals (WLAN components, SSID, security)
  • Wireless standards (802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax)
  • Network security fundamentals:

          Device hardening

          Password policies and SSH

          Port security

          ACL basics (standard and extended ACL overview)

  • Hands-on Labs:

          NAT/PAT implementation

          ACL configuration

          Securing device access (SSH, local authentication)

Day 5: Network Automation, Troubleshooting & Exam Preparation

  • Network troubleshooting methodology
  • Cisco troubleshooting commands:

           ping, traceroute

           show ip interface brief

           show vlan, show mac address-table

           show ip route, show running-config

           debug concepts and best practices

  • Network monitoring fundamentals (SNMP, Syslog, NetFlow overview)
  • Introduction to network automation and programmability:

         SDN concepts

          APIs overview

          Cisco DNA Center basics

          Configuration management overview

  • Final hands-on troubleshooting lab scenario
  • CCNA exam preparation tips and practice questions
  • Mock test / review session and Q&A

Assessment Methodology
