Course Description

This 3-day technical course provides participants with comprehensive knowledge of earthing systems, bonding principles, lightning protection, and surge protection in electrical installations. Participants will learn design principles, installation standards, testing methods, and maintenance practices for protection systems that safeguard personnel, equipment, and facilities from electrical hazards. The course covers relevant international standards and best practices applicable to utility, industrial, and commercial environments.

Course Objectives

Upon the successful completion of this course, each participant will be able to:

  • Understand earthing and bonding principles and their importance
  • Design and evaluate earthing systems for different applications
  • Apply lightning protection system design principles and standards
  • Select and install surge protection devices appropriately
  • Test and verify earthing, bonding, and protection systems
  • Maintain and inspect protection systems effectively

Who Should Attend?

This course is designed for electrical engineers, electrical technicians, installation professionals, safety officers, and technical staff responsible for electrical protection systems design and maintenance.
