The IOSH Managing Safely and IOSH Working Safely programs are globally recognized health and safety training courses designed to build essential workplace safety awareness and practical risk management skills. Day 1

Hazard Identification & Workplace Risk Awareness

  • Understanding hazards vs risks
  • Common workplace hazards:

          Slips, trips, and falls

         Manual handling

         Working at height

         Electrical hazards

         Machinery and equipment safety

         Chemical exposure

         Fire hazards

         Confined spaces

         Safe systems of work

  • PPE selection and proper use
  • Hierarchy of controls (Elimination to PPE)
  • Safe systems of work

Day 3

Risk Assessment & Control Measures

  • Risk assessment process (step-by-step)
  • Likelihood and severity evaluation
  • Risk rating matrices
  • Identifying and prioritizing control measures
  • Implementing control plans and monitoring effectiveness
  • Permit-to-work systems overview
  • Emergency planning and response procedures
  • Fire prevention and fire risk management basics

Day 4

Incident Investigation & Performance Improvement

  • Types of incidents: accidents, near misses, unsafe acts
  • Accident causation models
  • Incident reporting systems and documentation
  • Root Cause Analysis (RCA) basics
  • Corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)
  • Safety audits and inspections
  • Measuring safety performance (leading vs lagging indicators)
  • Toolbox talks and safety communication methods

Day 5

Managing Safety Systems + Final Review & Assessment

  • Developing and maintaining a safety management system
  • Safety roles of supervisors and managers
  • Managing contractors and third-party risks
  • Stress, fatigue, and human factors in workplace safety
  • Environmental safety awareness (waste, spills, pollution prevention)
  • Continuous improvement and safety leadership behaviors
  • Full revision and exam preparation
  • Sample IOSH test review and guidance

Assessment Methodology

All courses conducted by EdTech will begin with a Pre-evaluation and end with a Post-evaluation. The instructor will evaluate the knowledge and skills of the participants according to the feedback given by participants.
