Course Description

This 3-day course supports organizations in transitioning their Business Continuity Management Systems to ISO 22301 standards. Participants will learn the ISO 22301 framework, understand the requirements for establishing, implementing, and maintaining a BCMS, and prepare for certification or transition audits. The course addresses both new implementations and transitions from previous BCM standards

Day 2 – Business Impact Analysis & BC Strategies

  • Business impact analysis (BIA) methodology
  • Critical business functions and dependencies
  • Recovery time objectives (RTO) and recovery point objectives (RPO)
  • Risk assessment for business continuity
  • Business continuity strategies and solutions
  • Resource requirements and recovery arrangements 

Day 3 – Implementation & Certification Readiness

  • Business continuity plans and procedures
  • Testing, exercising, and maintaining BC plans
  • Performance evaluation and monitoring
  • Internal audit program for BCMS
  • Management review process
  • Preparing for certification or transition audit

Assessment Methodology
