Course Description

This 3-day technical course provides specialized training in transmission line protection systems and schemes. Participants will learn protection philosophies, distance protection principles, differential protection, pilot schemes, auto-reclosing, and protection settings for overhead transmission lines. The course combines theoretical knowledge with practical applications for reliable transmission system protection.

  Day 3 – Auto-Reclosing & Advanced Topics

  • Auto-reclosing principles and benefits
  • Single-phase and three-phase reclosing
  • Reclosing coordination with protection
  • High-speed vs. time-delayed reclosing
  • Protection during power swing conditions

Assessment Methodology

All courses conducted by EdTech will begin with a Pre-evaluation and end with a Post-evaluation.
