Pre-Test

Day 1 – Introduction to Water GEMS

  • Overview of Water GEMS and its applications
  • Installation and setup of Water GEMS software
  • Understanding the user interface and navigation tools
  • Model creation basics: building a simple water distribution model
  • Data input: importing GIS data and system parameters
  • Hands-on: Create a basic water distribution model from scratch

Day 2 – Analyzing Hydraulic Performance

  • Run and analyze steady-state simulations
  • Understanding pressure zones and their implications
  • Identifying system losses and optimizing valve placements
  • Introduction to demand analysis and peak flows

Day 3 – Advanced Features and Applications

  • Water quality analysis: contamination modeling and tracking
  • Utilizing scenario manager for dynamic modeling
  • Optimization tools: improving system efficiency and cost-effectiveness
  • Reporting results: creating and customizing model output reports

Assessment Methodology
